People from all over the nation and the world come to Barnes-Jewish for its surgical specialties.Preferred QualificationsUnder the general supervision of the chief perfusionist and attending physician, the BJH perfusionist provides cardiopulmonary and mechanical circulatory support for patients with emphasis on complex procedures including support for heart failure and non-cardiac procedures and level 1 trauma support.Responsibilities include administering pharmaceuticals, transfusing blood products, evaluating advanced technological equipment, conducting cardiopulmonary bypass, selecting and supporting extracorporeal membrane systems and ventricular assist devices, performing inter-hospital transportation of mechanically supported patients, and designing and participating in education and training programs.Minimum RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's DegreeExperience: Less than 2 yearsLicenses & Certifications: Cert Clinical Perfusionist, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Licensed Perfusionist, New Grad Provisional LicensePreferred RequirementsEducation: Master's DegreeExperience: 2-5 yearsSupervisor Experience: NoneBenefits and Legal StatementBJC Total Rewards includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and legal services available first day of the month after hire date.
