General Summary

Looking for a highly motivated and passionate Staff Product Manager for ADAS/AD software products to help define and promote Qualcomm chipsets for various ADAS and Infotainment use cases. Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Formulates and executes long‑term roadmaps for cost/profit control. Directs those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products.

Successful candidate will define and own the roadmap for global ADAS/Flex (both ADAS and Infotainment Solutions on Single SoC) customer programs, analyze business opportunities, drive execution, and help with go‑to‑market plans and global customer engagements.

The position requires deep expertise in ADAS software development or ADAS software product management, with strong focus on Linux, QNX, BSP, Embedded Software and ADAS SW stack expertise, Automotive SW development, Safety/Systems Software expertise, camera sub‑systems, image/video processing and machine vision.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate and influence multiple stakeholders in Product Management, Business Development, HW and SW Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Sales teams are essential requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
• 8+ years of Automotive SW dev/management (incl. requirements/systems) experience.
• 3+ years experience in leading/successfully delivering ADAS/AD Software (stack) products.
• 3+ years experience with leading SW/Systems architecture for ADAS/Infotainment systems.
• Experience with handling budgets & negotiating 3rd party business contracts/agreements with/in large organizations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive/lead engineering discussions with deep technical understanding/knowledge on one or more areas related to BSP, drivers, OS, RTOS, AUTOSAR, ADAS/AD middleware, ADAS/AD application stack, In‑vehicle Infotainment (IVI) solutions, Android, Linux, Camera sub systems, AI/ML/Neural network processing, Ethernet, Communication protocols, Functional Safety (ISO26262), Automotive SW development process, OpenCL, CUDA and V&V process.
• Define use cases, help with Software architecture, write requirements for SDKs, BSP, ADAS/AD/Infotainment software/middleware and the total solution value proposition.
• Manage product management team based on organizational needs/goals.
• Work with customers and internal engineering teams on RFIs, RFQs, and system‑level use case modelling & analysis.
• Develop product goals (e.g., features, performance, cost, timeline, schedules), perform product feasibility, and facilitate cross‑functional decision making for products they own.
• Translate customer requirements, feedback, and market dynamics into potential feature requests to ensure a differentiated product roadmap.
• Work in a fast‑paced, collaborative, innovative environment, including experience in discussing complex ideas with partners, customers, and executives.

Core Responsibilities

• Validate business cases and determine relevance to organizational strategy; contribute to the creation of the product roadmap to advance organizational strategy and goals.
• Review, prepare, and deliver technical presentations regarding product roadmaps, RFI/RFQ/RFP, and/or proposals to demonstrate and market product portfolios to customers and/or prospective customers, and integrate customer feedback into project roadmaps.
• Serve as authority in the creation of a differentiated roadmap for a product portfolio, facilitate decision making between cross‑functional leaders, and achieve buy‑in from internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive cross‑functional conversations around the development of a software product portfolio that meets customer needs and aligns with ADAS hardware product roadmaps.
• Develop/review innovative product development plans, drive and create/define software product requirements for multiple new and emerging technologies/products, including determination of cost and impact, and continually review ROI of specific products.
• Review identified gaps in market based on complex analyses of overall ecosystem demands and make software product decisions on how these gaps impact roadmaps.
• Drive communication plan and communicate appropriately with internal customers, third‑party vendors, and senior management to build relationships, ensure alignment and buy‑in, and achieve product goals as well as manage any planned changes.
• Drive effective cross‑functional collaboration by ensuring that Engineering and other internal partners (i.e., program management) meet customer expectations, promised deadlines, and align with overall roadmap for software product portfolio(s).
• Translate customer needs, product roadmaps, and organizational strategy into successful software product(s) and facilitate decisions necessary for product delivery by partnering with cross‑functional leaders.

• Develop, redesign organizational strategies, and provide overall direction for various functional areas and/or entire organization. Influence formulation and achievement of long‑term business plans and objectives.

Pay Range and Other Compensation & Benefits

$179,200.00 - $268,800.00

This pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales‑incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
