Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Support licensed blasters with underground drilling and blasting activities while following all safety protocols* Prepare blast areas by handling tools, materials, and equipment needed for daily operations* Assist with loading, stemming, and securing blast sites under direct supervision* Conduct routine inspections, housekeeping, and maintenance to ensure safe underground conditions* Communicate clearly with team members to ensure efficient, safe production activities**What Are We Looking For****Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check* Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level**What We Offer*** $26.70 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour underground rate* $2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid out in two installments (6 months and 1 year)* Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension* Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled* Demonstrated ability to work safely in underground mining or heavy industrial environments* Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures and instructions* Physical capability to perform manual tasks in confined and physically demanding settings* Willingness to learn blasting operations and support production goals as part of a team* Dependable, adaptable, and able to work varying shifts as operationally required #J-18808-Ljbffr Heidelberg Materials AG
