Job Description Position Title: Assistant Press Operator Pay Rate: $25/hr. Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time
Physical Location: 4328 Federal Drive Suite 105 Greensboro, NC 27410 Role Overview: To ensure all finished product are printed accurately and meet all quality and customer standards. Areas of Responsibility:
WORK EVNIRONMENT Employee must wear protective glasses, safety vest, earplugs and steel toe shoes. The plant is generally clean of debris and clutter, but the manufacturing process generates a fair amount of dust. There are hazardous materials in the manufacturing process (see MSDS book). The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Most of the work is inside the plant with occasional work (<1% of the time) outside. The plant is not climate controlled being chilly in the winter (above freezing) and is hot in the summer (non-air conditioned). - Preventative maintenance
- Hang plates
- Put ink in press and maintain
- Put blanket on press
- Set up feeder
- Ensure coating is correct
- Prepare coater backing
- Assist 1st pressman as needed
- Sign off on quality sheet
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Basic maintenance skills
- Ability to read and use ruler
- Some previous offset printing experience
- Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
