Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as an Intervention Specialist in a vibrant elementary school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work 37.5 hours per week in a dedicated resource role supporting students in grades 3 through 6. Your expertise will provide crucial guidance and personalized instruction, helping students thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License required
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, with a focus on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong background in academic and behavioral interventions for elementary-aged students
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans for students in grades 3-6
- Provide targeted instruction and intervention in a resource classroom setting
- Conduct assessments and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth and confidence
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state requirements
