Buyer / Planner

Buyer / Planner – Onsite at STANLEY® Engineered Fastening (SEF), Hopkinsville, KY, USA. This role focuses on managing the purchasing and planning of raw materials and components for the manufacturing plant. Responsibilities Forecasting, planning, and scheduling of purchased materials for the manufacturing plant. Planning and maintaining accurate inventory levels to assure 100% customer service while minimizing financial exposure. Analyzing inventory and resolving discrepancies. Quoting, purchasing, and ordering raw materials, components, assemblies, tooling and equipment. Interacting with suppliers and cross‑functional in‑house teams. Negotiating prices for one‑time purchases and strategic price agreements. Releasing purchase orders and establishing contracts per corporate policies. Ensuring on‑time delivery and accurate PO maintenance. Evaluating commodities and identifying supplier development, de‑sourcing, and additions. Project managing the supplier launch process. Managing Supplier Performance Management Program activities (scorecards, liaison meetings, audits, surveys, improvement activities). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 3–5 years related experience with evidence of increasing responsibility preferred. Experience with JDE operating system. Experience in automotive work environment preferred. Experience in international purchasing. Knowledge of heat‑treating and plating preferred. Familiarity with PPAP process and requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities, goals and meet deadlines. Proficiency with tools/equipment related to job (computers, manufacturing systems, etc.). Excellent problem‑solving and negotiation skills. Flexible in work schedule and hours; overtime and deviant schedules may be required. Must be able to travel by automobile, airplane, bus, train, boat, etc.; some domestic travel.
