Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and review chief complaint, medical history, medications, and visit needs.
• Provide the Doctor with an accurate and complete patient debrief before he enters the room.
• Assist with dermatology procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, ED&C, Mohs-related care, and other in-office procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, supplies, and medications.
• Accurately document lesion locations, measurements, procedures, and provider instructions in ModMed.
• Ensure pathology specimens and requisitions are labeled and documented correctly.
• Process prescriptions and refills accurately according to the Doctors instructions.
• Provide and document patient aftercare instructions.
• Remain with the patient and follow the visit through completion, ensuring all provider orders are addressed.
• Clean, disinfect, restock, and properly close clinical rooms.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and Skin Center of Florida policies.

Position Expectation:
The MA must demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, professionalism, accountability, and the ability to follow established clinical workflows. Patient safety and accurate documentation are essential responsibilities of this position.
