  • Location: Mesa, AZ

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift (4:00 AM - 12:30 PM)

  • Pay Rate: $25.18/HR

Your Impact

As an Aircraft Painter, you play a critical role in ensuring every aircraft not only looks exceptional but meets strict aerospace quality and safety standards. Your expertise in advanced coatings and finishes will directly contribute to the durability, performance, and visual excellence of aircraft components.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on, high-skill role, you will:

  • Apply advanced paint systems , including metallic, high-gloss, multi-coat, and specialty finishes

  • Perform full surface preparation: sanding, masking, priming, and coating applications

  • Operate and maintain HVLP and air-assisted spray systems and other specialized tools

  • Conduct precise color matching, mixing, and tint adjustments to meet exact specifications

  • Execute touch-ups, refinishing, and defect corrections to ensure a flawless finish

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, paint specs, and engineering documentation

  • Perform and document quality inspections , ensuring compliance with FAA and company standards

  • Troubleshoot painting issues and implement process improvements

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following hazardous material handling procedures

  • Mentor and support less-experienced team members while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certificate in coatings/painting preferred)

  • 4-6 years of aircraft painting experience , including advanced finishes

  • Proven ability to apply complex paint systems and specialty coatings

  • Strong understanding of paint chemistry and environmental application factors

  • Proficiency with advanced spray equipment and measurement tools

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Experience performing quality inspections and documentation

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification in coatings, painting, or related field

  • Experience training or mentoring junior painters

  • Familiarity with aviation painting standards and regulatory requirements

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details: $25.18 per hour
