Description of Services:

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts requires the services of 1 Software Developer 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Developer 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

The Candidate will be part of the CPA IT Enterprise Applications team, creating and maintaining public and internal Salesforce applications.

The Candidate will perform highly advanced analytical and development work in the creation of CPA Salesforce applications, as well as provide technical expertise to the team with design discussions and peer reviews. The Candidate will assist in the design, implementation, deployment, and documentation of projects that leverage the Salesforce.com toolset. The Candidate will provide feedback and contribute expertise to improve applications and development processes.

The Candidate will perform these tasks:

• Analyze business requirements and provide solutions that correspond to CPA policies and procedures.
• Create user accounts and assign appropriate licenses, profiles, and permissions.
• Create and manage complex Salesforce flows.
• Create Lightning record pages, record types, page layouts and compact layouts based on business requirements.
• Support multiple Salesforce projects and customer enhancements using an Agile methodology.
• Ability to move Salesforce components from development to production using sandbox environments.
• Complete regular internal system audits
• Prepare Technical documentation.
• Manage Salesforce data feeds and other integrations.
• Provide functional and technical expertise for Salesforce applications.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Years - Required/Preferred - Experience

10 - Required - Experience as a software developer/engineer on multiple lifecycle implementations of large-scale ERP IT applications

10 - Required - Experience in Salesforce, Apex, and JavaScript

10 - Required - Experience in Salesforce Declarative Programming and Administration (custom objects, Lightning pages, Apex, reports, flows, and assignment rules).

10 - Required - Experience in developing software solutions using Salesforce.com API framework, and 3rd party APIs.

10 - Required - Experience in developing test scenarios and test scripts, performing unit and system testing, and documenting results.

10 - Required - Experience with highly complex application security requirements as well as experience designing and supporting systems adhering to information protection and security standards.

8 - Required - Experience with serving in a senior development position on at least one full lifecycle implementation of Salesforce.

5 - Required - Experience in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.

10 - Preferred - Experience in establishing, documenting, and communicating standards, best practices, fixes, and providing system direction & recommendation.

10 - Preferred - Experience in understanding of computer related tools, methods, platforms, and operating systems

10 - Preferred - Experience with UI/UX design experience.

10 - Preferred - Experience in working and communicating effectively across multiple technical groups (including working with subject-matter-experts and other business resources).

3 - Preferred - Public sector experience (Federal, State, or Local government).
