This role involves contributing to engineering efforts in network operations and security. This position is located on-site.Key Responsibilities* Designs and plans network communications systems.* Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.* Provides detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools to meet business needs.* Conducts testing of network designs.* Maintains technical expertise in network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.* Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.Required Qualifications**Education & Experience:*** 5 Years with a Bachelor of Science in a STEM field, OR* 3 Years with a Master's in a STEM field, OR* 1 Year with a PhD in a STEM field.* Must be willing and able to obtain an active DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the program.**Technical Skills:*** Experience with Juniper, SDWAN, and Cisco Routers and Switches.**Certifications:*** CompTIA Network+ or a similar certification is required.Preferred Qualifications* Active DOD Secret Clearance* CompTIA Security+ Certification* CCNA Certification *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
