The FAENA Movement is seeking a Security Officer to monitor and patrol assigned areas, ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in security or a related field and possess knowledge of emergency response and safety protocols.

The role involves responding to disturbances, managing access to secured areas, and conducting investigations into incidents on the property.

The position offers a salary of $45,000 per year, with responsibilities including maintaining cleanliness of work areas and ensuring the security of guest and employee belongings.

Applicants must be able to work a varied schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

JOB OVERVIEW Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees and to minimize opportunities for loss or damage. Anticipates potential problems and reacts to disturbances and prohibited conduct. Responds to emergency situations as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain complete awareness of: Scheduled group activities and house count. Resort facilities and services. Hours of operation. Facility layout. Fire and emergency plans. Departmental rules of conduct. Review department log records and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shift. Review the resort status and follow up actions with the previous shift officer. Issue radios and keys to designated resort personnel. Maintain accurate records and ensure their safekeeping. Check employee I.D.s and ensure accuracy of employee time card punches as employees arrive/leave the employee entrance. Ensure all non-resort personnel arriving at employee entrance are properly escorted while on property. Inspect employee packages, purses, bags, etc. as employees enter or leave the property. Provide escorts for employees. Ensure that after-hours access into secured resort areas are properly authorized, monitored and documented. Handle deliveries received during non-business hours. Work with outside agencies (i.e., police). Coordinate emergency situations. Contact the Complex Security Director immediately for emergency situations. Monitor surveillance cameras. Investigate duress alarms. Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions taken. Resolve safety hazard situations. Ensure all guest and resident room doors are secured; assist guest and residents with room access. Investigate suspicious persons on resort property. Conduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guest and resident complaints; complete documented reports. Respond to the scene of guest and resident/employee accident promptly; administer first aid/CPR; communicate specified information to E.M.S./medical personnel as required. Report to scenes of guest and resident or employee fighting. Comply with state regulations and resort guidelines for handling intoxicated guests and residents. Coordinate towing of vehicles. Report to scenes of vehicles accidents/thefts and document specified information. Assist in moving/removing guest and resident room possessions, inventory and security of such and "E" key rooms. Document, organize and store all lost and found items given to Security; document guest and residents inquiries for lost items and coordinate return of lost items to guest and residents. Comply with guest and resident requests for storing and safekeeping of their valuables. Make arrests in compliance with legal and resort requirements. Maintain confidentiality of all Security and resort reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals. Answer the departmental telephone. Communicate by radio/beeper with designated resort personnel. Prepare work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering. Legibly complete designated reports. Document all pertinent information in the log book daily. Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review resort status and any follow-up actions with on-coming Security Officer. Ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
