Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a skilled CT Technologist. This part-time PRN role involves operating diagnostic imaging equipment with professionalism and precision to support medical diagnosis and treatment. You will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographs, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and efficient care to every patient encountered.
• Accurately position patients using accessory devices and instruct on breathing control, adjusting technical factors based on patient size, age, and mobility.
• Operate X-Ray and CT equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations and departmental protocols.
• Perform clerical tasks including patient reception, charging, documentation, statistics, report posting, and exam sign-out procedures.
• Occasionally assist with patient scheduling for Mammography, X-Ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
• Utilize sterile techniques as required to prevent contamination.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and perform assigned Quality Control tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms daily and weekly as part of infection control policies.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families.
• Attend department and special meetings as required.
• Enter patient information into Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and assist with special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. At least one year of radiologic technologist experience is preferred.

Licenses, Certifications, and Requirements

• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent registry as a Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist is required within one year of hire.
• Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification through the appropriate state Department of Health.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations and departmental procedures.
• Familiarity with diagnostic imaging procedures and ability to adapt exams to patient needs.
• Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and PACS/RIS software.
• Strong communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, managers, and patients.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts as assigned.
