Experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP)Make a Meaningful Difference Every Day

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in home and community settings.

This position is ideal for a DSP who has hands-on experience supporting individuals with daily living needs, behavioral support, personal care, and community participation and is comfortable working independently while following individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with ADLs, personal care, mobility, and daily routines

• Support individuals with IDD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and behavioral needs

• Implement Individualized Support Plans and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs)

• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and community involvement

• Provide companionship and support during community activities and appointments

• Assist with transportation as needed

• Monitor and document progress, services, and daily activities accurately

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment

• Protect individual confidentiality and follow HIPAA and agency policies

• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• Previous DSP experience is required

• Experience supporting individuals with IDD and/or Autism

• Experience working with behavioral needs and BSPs preferred

• Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and adaptable

• Ability to assist with personal care and mobility needs

• Ability to work independently and responsibly

Requirements

• Valid driver's license

• Reliable personal transportation

• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings

• Dependable attendance and willingness to follow scheduled shifts
