Database Engineer

Foster City, CA 94404 Our client, a leading organization in the autonomous mobility sector, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Database Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Database Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data Management Department supporting application and analytics teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Database Engineer Location: Foster City, CA Pay Range: $79/hour + Benefits What's the Job? Design and develop efficient, scalable database solutions aligned to business requirements. Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tooling. Monitor performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas for reliability and speed. Implement and maintain database security controls to protect sensitive data. Collaborate with application developers to optimize schema designs and SQL. What's Needed? Strong understanding of AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for database resources. Proven experience as a Database Engineer or DBA. Deep knowledge of DBMSs such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Redshift. Proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques.
