You partner with Operations leadership to enhance control effectiveness and audit readiness. Your work matters because it protects our business, supports regulatory compliance, and fosters a culture of accountability. You’ll be the primary point of contact for internal audit, compliance testing, and regulatory engagement preparation within scope. Finance & Business Management (F&BM) is committed to supporting your growth and impact.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end control environment for Public Sector OperationsIdentify, assess, and mitigate operational risksDrive disciplined execution of the control framework, including issue management and risk assessmentsMonitor control performance through deep dives and thematic reviewsOwn the issue management process, including triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation trackingManage operational risk events and near-misses, ensuring timely reporting and lessons learnedPartner with business teams to embed controls into process design and change initiativesSupport audit and regulatory readiness by maintaining documentation and orchestrating responsesIdentify opportunities for automation, standardization, and simplification to improve reliabilityServe as the primary first-line control contact for internal audit, compliance testing, and regulatory engagementTravel domestically up to 15% as requiredRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsThis role supports US Federal government contracts that require U.S. citizenshipMinimum 8 years of experience in Control Management, Operational Risk, Audit, Compliance, or related rolesProven ability to design and assess control frameworks and lead issue remediationStrong communication skills with senior stakeholdersBachelor’s degreePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsExperience in Public Sector and/or OperationsRelevant certifications in risk, audit, or controls are beneficialExpertise in operational risk and control principles, including control design and audit readinessExcellent executive written and verbal communication; Strong time management and prioritization skillsAbility to drive accountability without direct reporting linesSound judgment and intellectual honestyComfort constructively challenging stakeholdersSecurity Clearance Requirement:A Government Security Clearance, including Public Trust clearance, will be required for this position. As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening to obtain the necessary clearance.
