Title Accounts Payable Supervisor- Piedmont Geriatric Hospital State Role Title Financial Services Spec I Hiring Range $44,192 - $65,920 Pay Band 4 Agency Dept Behavioral Health/Develop Location Piedmont Geriatric Hospital Agency Website Recruitment Type General Public - G Job Duties This position will manage, review, and supervise Accounts Payable (A/P) for the campus in accordance with established policies and procedures and state guidelines. To ensure that financial data is maintained and reported in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Working knowledge of accounting procedures (Accounts Payable, Inventory and Fund Accounting). Working knowledge of state and hospital procurement procedures and state and federal guidelines. Working knowledge of automated financial systems. Considerable knowledge and application of accounting and financial reporting. Ability to work in a complex environment with little supervision. Excellent mathematical, communication, verification, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Keen eye for detail. Ability to direct and supervise the works of others while managing a complex and heavy workload. This position requires extensive sitting/keying on a computer. Sporadic retrieval of input/output documents is necessary which requires frequent standing, walking, bending and reaching. Some lifting required in handling and storage of documents. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of accounting procedures (Accounts Payable, Inventory and Fund Accounting). Working knowledge of automated financial systems. Additional Considerations Considerable knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Experience with Cardinal, the Commonwealth's accounting system. Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dead-line driven environment. Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Virginia's e-Procurement system (eVA).
