Systems & Automation Assistant A-1 Electrical Contractors, Inc is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and technically curious Systems & Automation Assistant to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of internal systems and automated workflows across the organization. This role works closely with leadership, operations, and administrative teams to reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and ensure systems run smoothly day to day. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and learning new tools and technologies. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the setup, maintenance, and improvement of internal systems, software tools, and automated workflows. Support the implementation of automation solutions that streamline administrative, operational, and reporting processes. Monitor systems and workflows to ensure they are functioning properly and identify opportunities for improvement. Troubleshoot basic system issues and coordinate with vendors or internal stakeholders as needed. Help document processes, workflows, and system changes to ensure consistency and continuity. Maintain data accuracy across systems and assist with system audits or cleanups. Support cross-department initiatives related to technology, systems, and operational efficiency. Stay curious and proactive in learning new tools that can improve how the company operates. Desired Skills & Qualifications: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Comfort working with software platforms, systems, and digital tools. Ability to follow structured processes while also identifying opportunities for improvement. Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams. Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of Git for version control and collaboration. Working knowledge of SQL and hands-on practice using coding IDEs such as Cursor or VS Code. Preferred Experience: Experience with workflow automation tools, internal systems, or process improvement initiatives. Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, or reporting tools. Exposure to construction, field operations, or operational support environments. Experience documenting processes or supporting system implementations. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Able to lift, carry, and move equipment up to 20 lbs.
