Position Overview Labor & Delivery Nurses help bring people into the world every day. They care for women during labor and childbirth, monitoring the baby and the mother, coaching mothers, and assisting doctors. As an L&D nurse, you’ll prepare families for birth stages and support patients with breastfeeding after delivery. Key Responsibilities Monitor labor progress and fetal wellbeing. Assist in vaginal and C‑section deliveries. Provide education and support to birthing patients and families. Coordinate postpartum care and breastfeeding assistance. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of current experience in Labor & Delivery. Illinois State Healthcare Provider license or willingness to obtain one. Certifications Required STABLE, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and ADV AWHONN (may be required or preferred). Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay scales are based on estimated hourly wages plus potential stipends related to assignment location. Hourly rates vary by experience, demand, availability, and location.
