Description: Call is approximately 4-6 times in a 6 week schedule. Weekend call is included in the 4-6. Experience with a variety of surgical procedures is required. The facility is an acute care hospital with 392 staffed beds. Scrub color is flexible. Charting is done using Meditech. The job involves assisting in surgeries including but not limited to: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair Abdominal hysterectomy Abdominoplasty Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion Total hip replacement Total knee replacement Hernia repair Spinal Fusion Various robotic surgeries

Additional requirements involve: Knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization processes. Familiarity with instrument processing. Ability to float between facilities within the state is expected. Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays each year. Two professional references are required prior to the start of the position. Candidates must have a valid LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days. All travelers must disclose any license issues upfront.
