Unit Notes - Hiring Process: Candidate Interview- Interview with MedSol Clinical Team- No Unit Manager involvement - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote Unit L&D/PP/MB - SAS # L&D Beds 8 Bed LDRP # OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections? 1 # Triage beds 0 # Postpartum beds 8 Bed LDRP # Births per day? Month? Year? Approx 35 deliveries/month Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? Yes Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE Common diagnoses/Types of patients Low risk >36 weeks Experience or 'Must have' skills L&D Experience Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Oxytocin & (occasional) magnesium sulfate Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge RN takes assignment Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? 1 OB tech each shift OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? No Anesthesia in house 24/7? Only if running epidural RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) CPAP and vent for babies awaiting transfer if necessary. Vent is very uncommon, CPAP is common due to high elevation Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? RNs read own strips, Phillips monitors EFM System OBIX Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) self scheduling Weekend Requirements 3 full weekends in a 6 week period Holiday Requirements 1 full summer holiday, 1 full winter holiday Is there a call or standby requirement?
