The system features nine acute care hospitals, a robust Antimicrobial Stewardship program, and a charter membership in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Alliance, making it a premier destination for infectious disease specialists.\n\nOpportunity:\n\nPhysician - Infectious Disease\n\nJob Details:\n\n\n Serve as Chief of Infectious Disease, reporting to the System Director of Infectious Disease and leading a department of 4 physicians\n Collaborate system-wide with over 25 Infectious Disease physician colleagues\n Drive continued growth of the Section of Infectious Disease\n Establish communication lines with all service lines to provide departmental support\n Provide mentorship and guidance to junior faculty\n Oversee the hospital epidemiology program in close partnership with Infection Prevention\n Work closely with Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists\n Manage inpatient consultations as well as outpatient care including HIV, Hepatitis C, STDs, and travel medicine\n Participate in post-graduate medical education for residents and medical students\n Hold an appointment at Quinnipiac University at the Assistant Professor level\n Shared call schedule with other Infectious Disease physicians\n Active Hospitalist program available to support inpatient care\n No primary care responsibilities\n Board Certification in Infectious Disease required; MD or DO degree required\n Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience required\n Prior leadership experience (e.g., Section Chief, Medical Director) preferred\n Experience in a multi-site health system preferred\n Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure required\n\nCompensation:\n\nEmployed salary with benefits.\n\n
