Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.THE ROLE:As a System Test Engineering Manager within the Product Development Group, you will lead system test engineering efforts that enable AMD’s next‑generation accelerator products from early development through high‑volume manufacturing. This role is responsible for defining system‑level test strategy, driving execution across lab, manufacturing, and customer environments, and ensuring robust coverage for functionality, compatibility, and reliability.You will manage and mentor a team of system test engineers while working cross‑functionally with design, product engineering, operations, and business partners to ensure products meet quality, schedule, and customer expectations. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strong execution ownership in a fast‑paced product development environment.THE PERSON:You are a collaborative and results‑driven engineering leader with a strong background in system test and product development. You balance technical depth with people leadership, are comfortable guiding teams through complex and ambiguous challenges, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You take ownership, proactively remove obstacles, and are motivated by delivering high‑quality products to market through strong team execution.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and manage a team of system test engineers supporting Instinct accelerator product developmentDefine and execute system‑level test strategies spanning pre‑silicon planning, post‑silicon bring‑up, customer samples, and high‑volume manufacturingDrive alignment on test coverage, validation readiness, and quality metrics across lab, manufacturing, and customer environmentsPartner cross‑functionally with Design, Product Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, and Customer Engineering teamsOversee planning and execution for system test deliverables, schedules, and resource allocationIdentify technical, schedule, and quality risks; drive mitigation plans and escalation as neededCommunicate program and execution status, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive leadershipCollaborate closely with globally distributed teams, including Asia‑based engineering and operations organizationsChampion continuous improvement in test methodologies, tools, processes, and team executionPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience leading system test or validation teams in semiconductor product developmentStrong background supporting GPU, accelerator, or complex SoC‑based productsExperience with pre‑silicon planning, post‑silicon validation, customer sampling, and manufacturing readinessProven people management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and performance developmentExperience working in complex, cross‑functional, and geographically distributed engineering environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting status and recommendations to senior or director‑level leadershipProficiency with standard Microsoft tools (e.g., Office, Windows OS) for planning, tracking, and reportingACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferredLOCATION: Austin, TexasThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-LC2#LI-HybridBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
