We invite you to join our ~10,000 employees to drive exceptional results for our company, the energy industry and our community.As a Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will provide reliability and maintenance mechanical engineering technical support with the primary purpose of increasing rotating equipment reliability.At Valero, this role performs duties that support our commitment to advancing the future of energy through innovation, ingenuity, and unmatched execution, including:Promotes Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) goals of the Company.Supports Maintenance Department Annual Goals.Provides support to Operations on Rotating Equipment issues.Provides direction to Maintenance as required.Performs "Root Cause Failure Analysis" on Rotating Equipment.Serves on teams requiring Rotating Equipment Engineering Input.Establishes and update spare parts requests/stocking levels for Rotating Equipment.Develops/Implements Refinery Wide Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program.Develops/Implements Refinery Wide Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Program.Must be available to answer calls and respond to refinery-related issues outside of regular business hours.Required to be on call and provide timely response to refinery-related issues after normal working hours.This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Port Arthur Refinery, required.Bachelor’s of Science (or higher) degree in Engineering required.5 years rotating equipment experience is required.Preferred Requirements:Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.Need more reasons to work for a company that is both professionally challenging and culturally rewarding?
