Journeys Retail Sales Associate – Tuscaloosa, AL (109 University Mall Sp C-7) Journeys, a leading teen apparel and footwear retailer, seeks enthusiastic team members who can provide a memorable shopping experience, support store operations, and meet performance goals. Job Summary Provide a fun and memorable shopping experience, assist with basic store operations, achieve store and personal sales goals, and uphold the Journey’s culture and standards of performance. Essential Job Functions Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance Perform all operation and loss prevention procedures accurately according to policies Maintain store appearance and stockroom organization Effectively communicate all store needs to management Stay informed of current fashion trends Complete all point‑of‑sale functions as required Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities promptly Provide a fun, full‑service experience to all customers Complete all required training Understand and demonstrate the Journeys culture to the team Multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment Exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Demonstrate a desire to succeed in a fast‑paced retail environment Willingness to learn and adapt Ability to work night and weekend shifts Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds Stand for long periods of time Qualifications / Requirements Minimum age 16 years (age requirement may vary by state) Must be able to work night and weekend shifts Physical ability to climb, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment Willingness to learn and adapt to changing store needs Compensation & Benefits Compensation includes a base pay, sales commission, and bonus potential.
