Job Title Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 5 × 8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: May 11, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Location: Cottonwood, Arizona (Acute Care Hospital, LevelIV trauma facility) Role Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital position in Arizona, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active AZ license. Responsibilities Patient evaluation and treatment across a broad range of acute care medical diagnoses. Comfortable working with ventilated patients and managing complex, high‑acuity cases. Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols (BCMA). Wear business casual attire in lieu of scrubs. Submit any time‑off requests at the time of initial consideration. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience. Active Arizona PT license in hand at time of placement. Current BLS certification (American Heart Association). Experience with Cerner EMR preferred. Ability to manage moderate‑to‑maximum assist patients, including co‑treatments and patients on ventilators. Comfortable pivoting quickly to additional evaluations throughout the day. Generalist background with confidence in treating patients with a variety of medical diagnoses preferred. Work Schedule Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, day shift, 8:00–17:00 (5×8 hours). Weekend coverage required, as the department operates 7 days a week. May be asked to float to surrounding clinics. Compensation & Benefits Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Free parking available on site.
