Sterile Processing TechPay range for this position is $18.41-$27.26Will train on the below skills if candidate does not have experience as a Sterile Processing Tech. Would prefer a candidate with some healthcare experienceDemonstrates competence necessary to assemble, clean, maintain, replace, and inventory equipment and instruments.Demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning of surgical services area and Operating Room (OR) suites before and between cases and after terminal case, based upon the patient's infection class.Restocks supplies as assigned.Demonstrates responsibility for care of instruments/equipment, including cleaning and processing of instruments.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of instrument processing, sterilization, biological monitoring and chemical monitoringMonitors and promotes a safe environment during care and maintenance of instruments and equipment. Performs all aspects of sterile Processing and Central Services in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.Assists the Surgical Services team to plan and evaluate procedural needs to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate appropriate supplies for procedures.Identifies barriers to effectively communicate based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, ad cultural considerations.May precept new hires.Employs critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and take appropriate action.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationHigh School or better.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
