Sterile Processing Shift Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all processing and sterilization activities inclusive of decontamination, preparation and packaging of instrumentation and sterilization for all items processed by the department.
• Responsible for following predetermined workflow, writing monthly schedules, planning daily assignments for assigned shift, and completing annual evaluations.
• Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.

Certification & Licensure:

Required - Sterile Processing Certification and 6 months hospital and 6 months instrument

Education: High School or Equivalent Specific Skills Knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items as well as knowledge of AMMI standards. Experience: Preferred - Hospital Experience

Shift Hours: 2:30PM - 11:00PM

Shift: Shift 2

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: No
