RN - ICU

Registered Nurse - MICU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift - 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

The Registered Nurse in the MICU will provide high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. The nurse will utilize their clinical expertise and EPIC experience to manage severely ill patients requiring intensive medical care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Oversee arterial line and central line care/management.
• Administer continuous IV sedation and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage dysrhythmias.
• Maintain adherence to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 18 months of MICU experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required prior to the start of the assignment.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Must be nicotine-free and provide a negative drug test.
