Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a Renal Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently as part of routine patient assessment
• Accurately document patient care and communicate clinical information using Epic (required) , Pyxis, and SBAR
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to holiday work expectations: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work them; if three fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers considered — charge experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic is required
• All RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests may be made post-offer or while on assignment, including during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Experience in renal or medical-surgical nursing
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
