Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography to support patient diagnosis and care in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. They ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality imaging services while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Operate and optimize CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  
  
• 
  Assist in clinical evaluation and care of patients, including trauma, emergency, outpatient, inpatient, research, and specialized procedures.
  
  
• 
  Enforce radiation safety measures according to New York State Department of Health regulations.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with medical staff and radiologists to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  
  
• 
  Support teaching initiatives and stay current with evolving CT technology and procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA Radiologic Technology program and high school diploma or equivalent.
  
  
• 
  New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or holding a limited permit.
  
  
• 
  ARRT-registered in Radiologic Technology.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS for Healthcare Providers or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  
  
• 
  Entry-level experience preferred; demonstrated knowledge of CT procedures preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care standards.
