Senior Director of Enterprise Data Partners (EDP) - Finance - Digital and Technology Partners - Hybrid

The Senior Director of Enterprise Data Partners (EDP) – Finance provides strategic and operational leadership for the development, governance, and delivery of enterprise data and analytics products supporting revenue cycle, finance strategy, and accounting across the Mount Sinai Health System.

Operating within a center-led, data product model, this role oversees multidisciplinary teams of data product managers, data analysts, and developers/data science analysts for delivering trusted data products including dashboards, reporting, predictive analytics, and self-service capabilities that improve financial performance and operational decision-making for the enterprise.

The Senior Director serves as the primary data and analytics partner to executive finance leadership, working collaboratively with business owners, data engineering, epic teams, digital and AI, and other DTP teams to ensure seamless product delivery and implementation. They are responsible for development of the data strategy, establishing product roadmaps, and ensuring the delivery of scalable data products in partnership with finance teams while promoting standardization, governance, Agile delivery, and measurable business outcomes.

• Define and execute the enterprise data product strategy for finance (revenue cycle, finance strategy, accounting), aligning initiatives to health system priorities and measurable business outcomes.
• Own and scale a portfolio of enterprise data products and sources of truth, including datasets, semantic layers, dashboards, and benchmarking-integrated assets, with accountability for product vision, adoption, standardization, governance, and measurable impact on financial and operational outcomes and business value.
• Partner with Finance executives to translate strategic priorities into data product roadmaps and clear delivery timelines.
• Lead the transition to a product-based, agile operating model, embedding cross-functional teamwork, lifecycle accountability, and iterative delivery to drive value.
• Oversee integration and optimization of internal and external data assets, including EMR, claims, and benchmarking data, enabling longitudinal and cross-continuum analytics. 
• Drive adoption of advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities that support proactive operational decision-making.
• Standardize and govern enterprise metric definitions, data models, and analytics assets, reducing fragmentation, eliminating duplication, and strengthening data quality and trust in partnership with the Director of Data Governance.
• Collaborate across Enterprise Data Partner leadership to enhance data architecture, optimize pipelines, and support enterprise analytics infrastructure.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, guiding enterprise analytics investments, benchmarking strategy, and opportunities to improve quality and outcomes.
• Drive enterprise adoption, enablement, and value realization of data products, ensuring alignment to measurable performance improvement and system-wide priorities. 
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team, fostering a product-oriented culture of innovation, accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, privacy, security, and governance requirements, including HIPAA and clinical data standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Computer/Data Science, or a related field required.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MHA, MS in Data Science, PhD, MD with finance/analytics experience).
• Background or certification in healthcare quality, informatics, or data science is highly desirable.
  

Experience Requirements

• 15 years of progressive information systems management experience preferably in a health care field.

Other Experience Specific to Position:

• 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare quality reporting and data science, with at least 5 years in finance or revenue cycle analytics for an academic health system or teaching hospital.
• Demonstrated success managing teams in a multi-mission environment (clinical, operational, finance, academic).
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale analytics or data product organizations with accountability for domain strategy, adoption, and business outcomes.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare analytics and decision support.
• Expertise in healthcare finance and related software, data, and tools.
• Familiarity with Epic or other EMRs, healthcare data warehousing, and academic research collaboration platforms.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $183854 - $289990 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
