Referrals Coordinator, Day Shift, Outpatient Wellness Clinic

AHC SGMC Behavioral Health Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Referrals Coordinator for our Outpatient Wellness Clinic who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Referrals Coordinator you will: Receive and review referrals and requests for new patients at the OWC. Outreach new patients and their families/representatives to discuss recommended services, gather demographic and insurance information, obtain necessary clinical information, explain OWC processes and procedures, and schedule patient for intake as appropriate. Obtain necessary insurance authorizations for new OWC patients. Communicate and collaborate professionally with colleagues and referral partners to close the loop on new patient requests and referrals Serve as back-up coverage as needed for OWC front desk team. Qualifications Include: High school diploma required; Associates degree or higher preferred 6+ months of professional experience in a healthcare setting required; behavioral health setting preferred Bilingual Spanish - preferred Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week Typical Daily Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am-3:00pm. Shift Type: Day Shift Shift Differential Eligible: Yes Pay Range $20.51 - $27.21 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
