Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Respiratory Therapist Lead, you will provide essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. Your role is vital for improving patient outcomes.

Every day you will provides oversight of operations within the Respiratory Care Department during a specific shift including serving as a resource for staff, ensuring efficient and effective resource utilization and quality of patient care.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and equipment proficiency. Excellent communication for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration, plus a commitment to safety and continuous development, are essential.

• Performs all ranges of respiratory care in a critical care environment including utilization of advanced modes of invasive and non-invasive ventilation and emergency respiratory care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with the hospital and departmental practices regarding national Patient Safety Goals, hand hygiene, AIDET, teach back, etc.
• Distributes work assignments evenly and according to skill set and patient acuity.
• Coordinates workflow and adjusts assignments in order to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care.
• Acts as a clinical resource and mentor for staff.
• Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Two (2) experience as ICU Respiratory Therapist
• Three (3) years ICU experience
• Respiratory Care Practitioner: AZ
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Preferred

• Bachelors Degree
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
