Director, Corporate Development & Finance Chicago, IL Company Overview Founded in 2011, Amp Americas builds, manages, operates and maintains RNG production facilities that convert dairy waste into carbon-negative hydrogen, renewable transportation fuel and power. The vertically integrated company leverages over a decade of unique expertise and specialized experience in carbon-negative fuel development, operations, services and marketing to deliver comprehensive, turn‑key solutions that address greenhouse gas emissions and seek to improve air, land and water quality. Position Summary Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for supporting the company’s strategy and M&A initiatives and strategic planning including financial, market, and operational analysis. The Director of Corporate Development & Finance is a business and functional expert with experience managing multiple projects, teams, and external relationships. Creative analysis, independent thought, and a proactive approach to adding value are key elements of this position. This role will require the individual to be a creative problem solver that works across multiple areas of accounting, business development, finance, legal, operations, and project management. The person in this role will need to be flexible and capable of taking on various projects, including: Financial modeling for M&A, joint ventures, project development and financing activities Assisting Business Development in pricing strategy and assessment of credit risk Negotiating commercial business agreements Serving as an integral member of company’s strategic planning effort to identify, assess, and prioritize growth opportunities Developing key competitor analysis, industry trend analysis and monitoring key target Capital markets activities supporting the Amp Americas’ growth & funding initiatives Key Responsibilities Lead and direct due diligence activities Act as a liaison between Corporate Development and other Amp departments to implement strategy and support growth efforts Support the office of the CFO on strategic finance initiatives Structure and negotiate commercial relationships between Amp and its business partners Collaborate with project managers, internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership, operations, engineering, legal and accounting to meet corporate business objectives Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with Amp team members, sponsors, service providers, and other stakeholders Provide quarterly/annual updates on competitor/key target opportunities and develop targeted acquisition plans Support other growth initiatives and strategies as required to help the organization achieve its overall corporate goals Required Skills / Abilities / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a diploma in a related field from a top‑tier university (required) Master’s degree in finance or business administration from a top‑tier university (preferred) 10 years of related business, finance, or investment banking experience (required) Experienced in structuring and negotiating debt agreements, including project finance debt (preferred) Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision (required) Strong quantitative data analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling skills (required) Strong presentation and communication skills, including advanced PowerPoint skills (required) Experience with using AI for finance, coding with Python, using or creating RAG frameworks (preferred) Deal structuring experience (preferred) Passion for and track record of delivering results and problem solving (required) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain trusting relationships internally and externally (required) Ability to work independently to organize, plan, coordinate, and manage multiple work streams simultaneously (required) Strong leadership skills in delegation, negotiation, communication, and consensus building to meet management’s objectives (required) Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications (required) Excellent understanding of Amp Americas’ industry, customers, and providers (preferred) Interest in alternative energy and/or renewable fuels (required) What We Offer Compensation package commensurate with experience including productivity pay and equity Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid company holidays Opportunity to build upon your career in a company on the cutting edge of the RNG industry Location: Chicago, IL Disclaimer: This job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position, and the duties and responsibilities may change without notice.
