Gastroenterology Physician

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to join our team in a Gastro Hospitalist role. This position involves rotating between multiple facilities. Due to a recent retirement, there is an ongoing need for a full-time provider until a permanent provider is hired. We require a minimum availability of 2 weeks per month if filling the role with two part-time providers. If a full-time provider is available and interested in performing outpatient procedures, this is welcomed. Successful locum candidates may be considered for a permanent position. Coverage Details Weekday coverage: 8 AM – 5 PM Patient encounters per shift: 5 Qualifications Board Certification required Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days Fellowship training: 2 Certifications Required ACLS BLS Trauma and Facility Information Trauma Level 2 facility No Pediatric Emergency Department Specialty Skills Required Internal Medicine Gastroenterology Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and foreign body removal Diagnostic ERCP Esophageal dilatation/manometry Esophageal manometry interpretation Small bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy Flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp Applicants must be certified and demonstrate proficiency in the required specialty skills.
