How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or public responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, restricted area concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Assist with traffic flow, gate operations, and screening processes to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
