Requirements Must have: – We require an associate degree in Information Technologies, or at least two years of experience in IT, software development, IT project coordination, or a similar technical discipline. – We look for strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities. – We need someone who can juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. – Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail are essential. – Excellent communication and customer service skills are required. – You should be able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. – Willingness to travel as needed to support IT projects across our locations is required. – Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript is highly desirable. – Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, or ASP.NET Core is highly desirable. – Experience managing databases, including SQL or NoSQL systems, is highly desirable. – Experience with programming, automation, and systems integration is highly desirable. – Experience in systems administration, including operating systems and Microsoft 365, is highly desirable. – Experience in networking, hardware, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure support is highly desirable. – Experience with artificial intelligence tools, data analysis, or emerging technologies is highly desirable. – Experience with project management or cross-functional technology implementation is highly desirable. Responsibilities: – We design, build, and maintain internal web applications and software solutions that support our business goals. – We use full-stack technologies to improve systems, automate workflows, and increase operational efficiency. – We manage, maintain, and optimize databases to support data integrity, reporting, and application integration. – We provide technical support across workstations, servers, networks, software, and business systems. – We research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to solve business and technical challenges. – We develop automation and systems integration solutions that streamline IT operations. – We support IT security, compliance, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and our IT environment. – We adapt to shifting priorities and evolving business needs in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization. – We support IT projects across multiple locations, including travel when needed. – We take on additional duties as assigned to support the effectiveness and continued growth of our IT department. This full-time IT Specialist role with a developer emphasis reports to our Vice President of IT and is ideally based in Juneau or Hoonah, Alaska, with remote work considered based on experience.
