Automation Field Service Technician

Remote | 85% U.S. Travel

Are you passionate about robotics, AI, and advanced manufacturing technology? We're seeking an Automation Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and optimization of cutting-edge robotic welding and automated manufacturing systems at customer sites across the Southern U.S. region.

What You'll Do

Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced robotic and automated manufacturing systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs at customer facilities.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
Support robotic welding systems, pneumatic equipment, electrical controls, and mechanical assemblies.
Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
Monitor equipment performance and ensure optimal operation.
Interface directly with customers to provide technical support and exceptional service.
Learn and work with advanced automation software, robotics, and AI-driven manufacturing technologies.

What We're Looking For

Technical degree, trade certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, machine shops, fabrication, industrial maintenance, or mechanical/electrical systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Welding experience is a plus (certification not required).
Comfortable learning new technologies, automation software, and basic programming concepts.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 85% throughout the U.S.
