Senior Safety Specialist

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3-4 years of safety experience.\n\t• Experience creating and maintaining JSAs (Job Safety Analyses).\n\t• Strong understanding of: \n\t\t• OSHA requirements\n\t\t• Virginia safety regulations\n\t\t• EPA compliance\n\t\t• Safety standards and best practices\n\t• Ability to translate customer and regulatory safety requirements into actionable training and processes.\n\nDay-to-Day Responsibilities: \n\t• Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).\n\t• Translate customer safety requirements and state regulations into clear procedures.\n\t• Create and deliver monthly safety training programs.\n\t• Conduct safety program administration and policy updates.\n\t• Work closely with an internal team to ensure compliance and execution.\n\nEvaluate: \n\t\t• How work is being performed\n\t\t• Associated risks\n\t\t• How employees can perform work safely and compliantly\n\nLooking For:\n\t• Team-oriented individual.\n\t• Comfortable presenting and training groups.\n\t• Strong communication skills.\n\t• Able to explain technical safety requirements in a simple, actionable way.\n\t• "Servant heart" mentality.\n\t• Humble, collaborative, and people focused.\n\t• Cultural fit is very important.

About the Role\n\t• Supports a multi-state safety environment with a primary focus on Virginia safety regulations and EPA compliance.\n\t• Based in Ashburn, VA.\n\t• Will support customer sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.\n\t• Most applicable industry experience: \n\t\t• Data Centers\n\t\t• Manufacturing\n\t\t• Industrial environments\n\nManager's Ideal Candidate:\nSomeone who can say:\n\t"Here's the work being performed, here's the risk involved, here's the regulation that applies, and here's how we can train employees to do it safely."\n\nThis is NOT a Safety Manager role.\nThis is a hands-on Senior Safety Specialist who will spend most of their time:\n\t• Creating JSAs\n\t• Conducting training\n\t• Interpreting regulations\n\t• Supporting customer sites\n\t• Driving safety compliance\n\t• Building relationships with field teams
