Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Broker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for negotiating freight rates, coordinating shipments, and building strong relationships with carriers and shippers. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the logistics industry. Job Title: Freight Broker Location: St Louis, MO Job Type: Full-time (7am – 4pm) Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 Annually Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and transportation companies. Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to secure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions. Coordinate freight shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring on-time performance. Monitor and track shipments, addressing any delays or issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of shipments, rates, and carrier performance in the company’s database. Identify new opportunities and grow the carrier base. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role. Strong understanding of freight brokerage operations, market trends, and carrier networks. Excellent negotiation and sales skills. Proficiency in transportation management software (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
