Construction Project Manager / Senior Construction Professional, Potential Equity

Danforth Construction Group is growing, and we're looking for a Charlotte project manager who is ready for more responsibility and a future that could include equity in the company.

Founded in 2009, we're an established commercial general contractor, and all of our work is in the Charlotte market. We're keeping the title and exact duties open on purpose. We want the right person first, and then we'll shape the role around their strengths, with room to take on more as they grow.

Recent work includes restaurant buildouts, high-end retail upfits, office and medical office renovations, and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) projects. Our clients include Duke Energy, Piedmont Natural Gas, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, JLL, CBRE, and many local businesses.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Estimate and prepare bids
• Build business through networking, finding new clients, and keeping relationships strong
• Build and maintain relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers
• Work directly with ownership and learn how the business runs, with a view toward a long-term leadership role and potential equity

Qualifications

• Solid project management experience in commercial general contracting
• Strong ties to the Charlotte construction market
• Strong plus: an existing book of business, or a proven ability to bring in new work
