Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Mid Shift (available shifts: 0700–1930, 1100–2330, 2300–0700) | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving ortho trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, OB/GYN oncology, and acute medical patients
• Titrate drips including heparin and occasionally nitroglycerin, bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin per prescribed nomogram
• Manage wound dressing changes, continuous bladder irrigation, and post-operative care for a variety of surgical patient populations
• Collaborate with telemetry technicians, charge nurses, nursing assistants, and respiratory therapy to deliver coordinated patient care
• Assume expanded responsibilities for vital signs and ADLs during evening and overnight shifts in coordination with CNA staffing model
• Float to other adult medical/surgical nursing units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Ability to titrate IV drips following a prescribed nomogram
• Willingness to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Background in orthopedic, vascular, urological, or neuro-spine post-operative nursing care
• Familiarity with heparin drip management and vascular patient populations
