Job Description:  Direct Support Professional – Community Living

New Horizons is looking for a direct support professional employee to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals.

Direct Support Professional employees may need to assist clients with household management tasks (such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning and decorating), physical needs (such as grooming or eating), or community needs (participating in events, hobbies, recreational activities).

Job Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Valid Driver’s License

• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification

Additional Information

• Drug Test and TB test required

• Background report and driving record required

• Overtime available

Shift Information

• 12 hour Shifts

• Weekend rotation required

• Shift differential 

  • 1st shift Saturday and Sunday = additional $1.00

  • 2nd shift Monday - Friday = additional $0.50 per hour

  • 2nd shift Saturday and Sunday = additional $1.50 per hour

  • 3rd shift Monday - Friday = additional $0.75 per hour

  • 3rd shift Saturday and Sunday = additional $1.75 per hour
