Job Description

The Jefferon Endoscopy Technician plays a vital role in supporting a variety of endoscopy procedures across gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and general surgical specialties. Working within a small technical team integrated with nursing staff, this position focuses primarily on equipment preparation, sterilization, maintenance, and record keeping, with minimal direct patient interaction. The role requires ensuring safety compliance, managing inventory, and training others on proper equipment handling to maintain smooth procedure operations.

 

Responsibilities

• Support gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and general surgical endoscopy procedures
• Perform instrument sterilization and ensure safety compliance
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment
• Manage inventory and control stock levels
• Keep accurate records related to procedures and equipment usage
• Train team members on equipment handling and safety protocols
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff and other team members

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in medical technology
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of endoscopy equipment handling and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with patient care and medical terminology
• Understanding of safety protocols and record management
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Technical troubleshooting ability
