CEI Engineering is seeking a Field Specialist to join our survey crew based in Bentonville, AR. Our Field Specialists are typically part of a two-person crew that travels to various job sites around the region. The compensation range provided is specific to the geographic market of the posted position. If hired as a remote employee, your salary will be aligned with the applicable compensation range for your primary remote work location.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SURVEY PARTY CHIEF

• Utilize surveying practices and techniques to conduct various survey responsibilities
• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment including total station, data collector, level, and GPS to collect and record data
• Accurately stake right of way locations
• Clearly document information in hand written field notebooks
• Coordinate and communicate findings with Party Chief and other CEI staff
• Collaborate with peers and supervisors to accomplish group, project, and company goals
• Other duties will be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SURVEY PARTY CHIEF

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years survey field experience a MUST
• Ability to learn and proficiently utilize robotic total station, data collector, and GPS equipment
• Willingness to frequently travel to regional job sites
• Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to regularly work outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, wet and muddy conditions, and high precarious places
• Ability to safely traverse and navigate rugged terrain in remote areas
• Ability to transport heavy equipment to various jobsites (Regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds)
• Ability to travel frequently travel regionally and occasionally nationally
