About This Role The Nurse Manager is responsible for managing nursing practice and operations in the outpatient surgery unit, ensuring high standards of patient care and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Highlights Pay: $140,001.21 - $177,585.91 Annually Location: New York, NY Facility: New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai Department/Unit: 4th Floor Oper Room (Asu) - NYEE Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Lead nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care. Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Care Checks and role model expected behaviors. Ensure integration of Care Checks into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care. Assess staff competency in Care Checks/PHR and provide meaningful feedback. Conduct daily patient rounding and weekly staff rounding. Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team. Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate. Follow up on patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery. Design and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment. Participate in quality, patient safety, and patient experience improvement initiatives. Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, Master's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive clinical and nursing expertise on a clinical and Med/Surg unit. 3-5 years of progressive management/leadership experience required. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
