Job Description We are seeking an experienced Business Data Architect / Modeler to support enterprise data initiatives focused on canonical data modeling, semantic data mesh, and real-time streaming architecture . The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise data modeling, Kafka, AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake, along with the ability to bridge business requirements and technical architecture. Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance canonical, conceptual, logical, and physical data models across enterprise business domains.
Design semantic models and apply data mesh principles to enable data interoperability and reuse.
Define domain-driven data contracts and modeling standards.
Design real-time data architecture using Apache Kafka , including event modeling and schema strategies.
Partner with Product Owners, domain architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Architect and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions using Databricks, AWS, and Snowflake .
Ensure data architecture aligns with governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, and security standards.
Create reusable data modeling templates, standards, and architectural artifacts.
Support enterprise real-time data integration and AI/ML enablement initiatives.
Provide technical guidance on ETL/ELT, data integration patterns, and distributed data architectures.

Required Skills

10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related data engineering roles.
Strong hands-on experience with canonical data modeling .
Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
Strong understanding of semantic modeling and data mesh architecture .
Hands-on experience with Kafka , including event modeling, schema strategy, and streaming architecture.
Strong experience with AWS data services , including: S3 Redshift Glue EMR Lambda EC2
Experience with Databricks and distributed data technologies.
Strong Snowflake experience.
Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or another programming language.
Understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, and distributed data systems.
Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata, and lineage.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Spark, EMR, Delta Lake , or similar big-data technologies.
Enterprise data catalog and metadata management experience.
AWS certification such as Solutions Architect or Data Analytics Specialty.
Experience supporting real-time data integration or AI/ML initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's preferred.
