Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 10-bed observation unit responsible for monitoring patients during short-term stays. The RN must demonstrate strong telemetry skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients' cardiac and vital signs, ensuring timely identification of irregularities.
• Administer and document patient care in compliance with facility protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the Cerner or Epic electronic health record systems.
• Respond swiftly to emergent situations, providing critical interventions as needed.
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including night shifts, weekends, and holiday rotations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid MA RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, with ability to function autonomously.
• Proficient in Cerner or Epic charting systems.
• Hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills.
• Capable of working flexible schedules, including night shifts and on-call duties.
