Lead Health Insurance Specialist

Duties
Leads and coordinates the work of a multidisciplinary team by assigning work, monitoring progress, coaching employees, balancing workloads, and ensuring timely accomplishment of organizational goals.
Serves as a technical advisor by analyzing complex health insurance policy and program issues, developing recommendations, and advising leadership on strategic and operational decisions.
Leads cross-functional initiatives and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to implement program objectives, resolve complex issues, and represent the organization in meetings and briefings.
Oversees program operations and system functionality by coordinating with information technology staff and contractors, ensuring policy requirements are implemented effectively, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Develops and evaluates policies, regulations, guidance, and program documentation to support the implementation of health insurance transparency and consumer protection initiatives and improve program effectiveness.
