Job Title Class A Local Truck Driver Company: Xpress Global Systems (XGS) Location: El Paso, TX Position Overview Xpress Global Systems (XGS) is seeking experienced Class A Local Truck Drivers to support our transportation and logistics operations. This role is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient movement of freight within a defined local radius while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and company standards. Compensation Pay Range: $23.15 per hour Overtime: Paid in accordance with applicable laws Additional Earnings: Potential for safety bonuses and performance incentives (where applicable) Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) for local deliveries and pickups Load, unload, and secure freight to prevent damage during transport Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues promptly Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet service expectations Maintain accurate logs for mileage, fuel, deliveries, and hours of service (HOS) Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and any delays or issues Provide professional, customer-focused service during all interactions Assist with warehouse duties, inventory handling, and basic equipment maintenance as needed Maintain a clean and organized truck and work environment Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 23 years old Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Minimum 24 months of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years (or 36 months within 5 years) No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years No serious violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving, excessive speeding, leaving the scene, etc.) No more than 2 at-fault accidents in the past 36 months No more than 3 at-fault accidents in the past 60 months Ability to read, speak, and write English per FMCSA requirements Must pass: DOT drug screen DOT physical (minimum 6-month certification) Company road test Strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service compliance Ability to operate tractor-trailers and navigate using GPS and routing tools Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification and experience High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move freight up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Why XGS At XGS, we prioritize safety, teamwork, and growth.
